CYP10-2Club DRAFT INTERIM DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2006/7

The Club provides legal, directional, developmental, coordinating, administrative and financial structures for its various projects and programmes including:

a. YesCyberCafé, estd1999
Youth Enquiry Service(YES) and Connexions Access Point primarily targeted a young people aged 13-19 based around a 21 station cybercafé and referral support service, and providing programmes of soft and accredited outcomes with surgery inputs from education, training, careers and employment agencies. Based at 131 Chapeltown Road, LS7, with an average attendance at 30 per day.

b. AfterSchool Club, estd 2002
Monday-Friday 5-7.30pm AfterSchool Club for 12-16 year olds, and working in partnership with the Chapeltown Independent AfterSchool(CIAS) to provide Saturday supplementary schooling for 5-12 year olds. Based at YesCyberCafé, with an average attendance of 12 per day.

c. PROJECT7, estd 2004
Volunteers 13-19 years undergoing Club sponsored training, mentoring and capacity building, and engaged in peer-led edutainment including a Friday evening social-recreational club, music, film and sports programmes and self-development residentials. Based at Mandela Centre with registered membership of 150 and average attendance of 50 to its Friday programmes.
 

d. Asian Fusion Project, estd 2006
Accessing male and female young people from Asian background including Asian volunteers, to ICT and the ‘youth enquiry service’ at YesCyberCafé, promoting community cohesion between young African & African Caribbeans and Asian young people through sports.
