1997 NORWAY
11 Young People from Chapeltown attended a Summer Camp on the Norwegian coast as guests of the Norwegian Youth Department. The aim was to exchange views with African descendents born or living in Norway, on the experience of living in Europe, as part of the European Year Against Racism. Since 1997, several Norwegian young people have made return visits to Chapeltown.
1998 AUSTRIA
As guests of the Austrian Youth Service, 6 young people from the 10-2 Club attended the annual Austrian Youth Parliament, addressed by several ministers in the Austrian Government. One Club delegate from Chapeltown was later invited to take up a year’s residency in Youth & Media in Sweden.

Thanks to reliable funding sources, as part of our Summer Programme, we have been able to offer and complete a variety of opportunities to travel or go on trips. In the past some of these have included; York Dungeons, Alton Towers and Light Water Valley, Go-Carting, Climbing, Bowling or a visit to the Cinema.
