CVP has awarded many volunteers with certificates that recognise their work. Such certificates can be used on their CV for future reference. Quote from volunteer?

Volunteers have benefited in many different ways. They have been given to the opportunity to gain experience and train in what they are interested in whether that be Foundation Youth Work or Teaching Dance moves to others, in many cases receive qualifications. Accreditation is important for young people to move on in life. CVP is associated with the Northern College, RtC and Voluntary Action Leeds who provide training opportunities some of which include:

  • Support & Supervision of Volunteers
  • Being a Volunteer
  • The purpose of meetings
  • Open College Network (OCN) accredited training

Some of these organisations also help with Careers Advice Volunteers from Leeds 6, 7 or 8 may work with any of the above organisations or possibly with various other places. Experiences may range from Administration to Sports or Arts and they may help design publicity or manage young people.

We are looking for volunteers between the ages of 13-25 to take part in the programme. Volunteers will be paid sessional expenses and after 6-weeks volunteering will be put on a work-placement with one of our partners organisations.
